The CORE is excited to partner with Kids Cancer Care this September as we honour Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Kids Cancer Care is a passionate organization dedicated to helping young people and families affected by cancer. Starting September 2, a display dedicated to Kids Cancer Care will be featured on Level 2, at the glass bridge area, across from Purdy’s for fun photo opportunities and a chance to learn more about the cause.

On September 18 starting at 12:00 p.m., the CORE will host the organization’s annual Rock Your Locks: MANE Event, a community fundraiser that brings together all the hair-razing, hair-colouring, and hair-cutting rockstars of Calgary to raise funds and show moral support for children affected by cancer. Do something brave and bold for children impacted by cancer, register to colour (with temporary spray), cut, or shave your hair during the MANE Event to show them that they’re not alone in their fight.

All monetary donations raised will be used for approved programs and projects including camp and outreach initiatives, leadership programs, meal support, counselling services, education aid and more that benefit the children and families Kids Cancer Care serves.
